UAS Integration in the NAS

ClancyJG International supports the FAA's safe integration of unmanned aircraft into the National Airspace System (NAS). We do the regulatory and safety work that moves UAS operations from one-off waivers toward routine access, including airspace authorization and safety risk management for the FAA's Emerging Technologies Team.

What We Do

The regulatory and safety work that puts UAS in the NAS

We work inside FAA program offices to do the regulatory and safety work that lets unmanned aircraft share airspace with crewed traffic.

Airspace authorization processing

We process Certificates of Waiver or Authorization (COA) and Part 107 requests, and we assemble the technical and safety documentation an application needs to withstand FAA review.

Safety risk management

We support the FAA's Safety Management System (SMS): we run the Safety Risk Management (SRM) panels and write the SRM Documents (SRMD) that capture each hazard, its control, and the residual risk for a UAS operation.

Policy & procedure development

We draft and revise the orders and procedures that govern how UAS integrate into the NAS, and we keep them current as the rules and operational concepts change.

Detect-and-avoid & systems engineering

We provide operational and systems engineering support for detect-and-avoid (DAA) and command-and-control (C2), including the data analysis and modeling behind the safety case for beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) operations.

Program & records support

We run the administrative side of a policy program: action and deliverable tracking, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) responses, and audit-ready records.

Why ClancyJG International

Operators who know the regulatory environment

Integrating UAS into the NAS is regulatory and safety work, where a shortcut becomes a safety case that doesn't hold. We've done this work for the FAA, not learned it from the outside.

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned

ClancyJG International is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

Proven performance with the FAA

We were the prime contractor for the FAA's Emerging Technologies Team UAS integration work from 2017 to 2021. We were rated Very Good for Quality and Management, with zero cost or schedule variance across the contract and a recommendation for similar requirements in every period.

Fluent in the orders and the safety case

We work in COA and Part 107 processing, the FAA's SMS and SRM process, and the airspace orders every day, so we start contributing to the regulatory record on day one, not after a ramp.

Standards & Compliance

Built to FAA standards

Every engagement follows the rules and safety processes that govern unmanned aircraft in the National Airspace System.

Work With Us

Working a UAS integration requirement?

We process the COAs and Part 107 requests, run the safety risk management, and write the policy. We did exactly that as the prime on the FAA's Emerging Technologies Team.
